Announcement–long:

The 7th issue of the #ExternalisationBulletin is out now 🚨

This issue covers:

• Continued EU support for racist violence in North Africa: A document circulated by the Polish Presidency reveals that EU member states are aware of severe rights abuses in the region, including summary expulsions from Tunisia leading to migrants being sold to Libyan militias. Yet, it also emphasises the need for the EU's continued cooperation.

• Potential "strengthening" of coercive visa sanctions: Discussions are underway to make it easier for the EU to impose visa restrictions on countries that do not 'cooperate' with deportations.

• €3 billion funding increase for border and immigration control: The EU has announced additional funding to bolster its external border controls.

• and more.
